This guy brings up an interesting point which I've never heard of, which is that reusing syringes kills 1.3 million per year. One shocking thing in the video is that Indonesian boys use the syringes as toys and even drink out of them while they still have traces of blood on them.

ReplyDeleteYou're right, the point about the syringes being dangerous is really interesting, I haven't heard of it either. I think that in the first place, doctors and nurses should be disposing of them in the sharps boxes which are for those types of dangerous materials. If they were doing it the right way, that 1.3 number wouldn't be nearly as high.

Yeah i agree that is a number that can be dropped dramatically with just a little bit of effort. I never knew about all the facts about how much they are impropporly used. This is a really interesting subject that I never knew much about.
